With seven projects, the aim of the agreements to look for mutual development, involving total investment of 1.53 billion yuan. 4 projects exceed 100 million yuan respectively. The projects involve the area of harbor industry, such as ports and docks, logistic storage, fasteners, textile and machinery. The leaders in Haiyan participated in the whole course of Haiyan-Wenzhou industrial cooperation and economy & trade exchange. With good location and land advantage, Haiyan has gained recognitions from Wenzhou private-owned enterprises. A manager of a garment company in Zhejiang said one of his relatives had invested in Haiyan before and told him that the development environment in Haiyan was pretty good, so he wanted to come and have a look, as well as to look for more business opportunities in Haiyan. A GM from another company said the cost of investment in Wenzhou was too high. Enterprises should look for a potential city if they want to develop. Haiyan was the one that interested him. Mr. Zhang, the secretary of Auto and Motorbike Assembly Industrial Institute in Ouhai District of Wenzhou, leaded a group of entrepreneurs to come around. They saw endless business chances and outlook in Haiyan harbor industry. What he wanted to know was the supply of land, fixings and government's favorable policy. Mr. Zhang also said that Haiyan was his first choice when cultivating an auto and motorbike industrial base. If permitted, he would lead his members to enter Haiyan. In addition, the national quality supervising and testing center for standard parts has been built in Haiyan, which makes businessmen in Wenzhou see the vast future of this industry. Mr. Xie, the vice-chairman of Wenzhou fastener industrial institute, signed an agreement on the construction project of Wenzhou (Haiyan) fastener industrial zone. He said, "For fastener industry, Haiyan has a very good industrial chain, excelling in information, location and market. These are the reasons why we come and invest here. Although we sign the agreement in the name of institute, actually 10 enterprises participate in it. We may learn one of the features of Wenzhou people—United together to develop." On that exchange, many private-owned enterprises in Wenzhou expressed their will to invest in Haiyan.
